Representatives are given formalized training sessions in the New York Business Partners training center where they learn:
They are taught about all fields of the application form, and what customer information is required.
The individual credit card products and pricing are explained. Initial training is often a collaborative session with client involvement. Our processes are always transparent.

Reward programs, promotions, and redemption values are all fully explained.
As ambassadors to our clients, our reps must not only have an understanding of the products themselves, but also of the overarching brand (bank, often) so as to comprehend how to best represent it.
Tone & Manner
Often, it is important that the prospect’s perception is that the sales rep is a member of the organization that New York Business Partners represents, and must reflect the organizational values.
Intensive training is conducted in-field by the representatives’ supervisor. Phase one of the training lasts three days:
Reps are coached on persuasive scripts that highlight the products’ best features and benefits.
Reps are monitored to ensure a respectful and friendly interaction.
Reps are coached to remind customers to activate and use their cards once received. This message is most effective when it ties into reward program bonuses and/or to the opportunity for “point” accumulation.
Reps provide post-sale collateral materials as applicable.
